Within the project VALID, Municipality of Zavidovići organized a round table, meeting with municipal representatives mr.sc. Džeraldina Miličević, assistant mayor for entrepreneurship and local development with representatives of Support Club for Female Entreperneurs Zavidovići, Women Association Pašinka, WA Majska ruža and WA Iskra.
The project was developed by 12 partners from 10 EU and non-EU countries including Bosnia and Herzegovina, to promote cultural participation as a tool for improving social inclusion, active citizenship and intercultural dialogue, as well as fostering solidarity and respect for cultural diversity.
The project VALID pinpoints cultural participation as an effective tool for establishing and upholding process, and providing a more inclusive pathway for citizen’s participation in policy making while raising awareness on key social issues.
Participants discussed the need for more inclusive approach for participation in policy making of vulnerable and marginalized groups with focus on women of Zavidovići.
Participants emphasized the need:
- To enable system support to development of enterprises owned by women,
- Support promotion and networking of female entrepreneurs,
- Develop institutional mechanisms for participation of women in decision making processes as well as other marginalized and vulnerable groups.
